StoryMakers NYC

Hardcover Books + Slip Case

Faith Guide for Littles

From the design proposal phase to print production execution, I was the lead designer for the creation of this 4-book hardcover series. Working with illustrators, curriculum writers, copy editors, and industrial printers, my task was to weave all of these elements into the final product.

Website Re-Design + Development

E-commerce Experience

At the top of 2022, StoryMakers NYC needed a new website design to keep up with its growing customer profiles and audiences.

The goal for the project was to re-design key areas of the StoryMakers NYC website to increase purchase conversions by reducing friction in the customer cycle and creating clear pathways for specific product types. The site required a complete overhaul and consideration of its philanthropy goals.

Comic Book Zine

Illustrations.

One of the most popular products offered by StoryMakers NYC are their comic book zines. I’ve served as illustrator for 3 comic book zines, resulting in a total of 146 unique illustrations that fill the comic frames.

Advent Zine - 36 illustrations

Lent Zine - 69 illustrations

Easter Zine - 41 illustrations

For the comics, I wanted to convey a story without words, creating narrative through illustration, so that children everywhere could interpret the images without need for translation. I understood that StoryMakers NYC was looking to expand internationally in the years following the publication of these zines, and a core value of StoryMakers is that every child is their own story maker. Comic books and graphic novels were one type of medium that we were very interested in creating and my own love of Japanese manga informed this project.
